(the “Company”) (NYSE:CUBI), the parent company for Customers Bank, today announced the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering of $100 million aggregate principal amount of 3.95% Senior Notes due 2022. The price to the purchasers was 99.775% of the principal amount of the Senior Notes representing a yield-to-maturity of 4.0%.
The net proceeds to the Company after deducting the underwriting discount and estimated offering expenses are expected to be approximately $98,425,000. The Company expects to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes, which may include working capital and the funding of organic growth at Customers Bank.
Sandler O’Neill + Partners, L.P. is acting as the sole book-running manager for the offering. Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young, LLP served as counsel to the Company in connection with the offering. Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP served as outside legal counsel to the underwriter.
